I failed my freshman year. My GPA was a 2.0. As you can tell, I’m not very booksmart.
I didn’t know how to learn, I couldn’t figure out why every class was so damn boring(later found out I had adhd), and let’s not forget I was barely going to class.
So how did I transform from being on academic probation with a 2.0 GPA to being an academic weapon with a 4.0 GPA?
I don’t like studying. I don’t subscribe to this idea that to be an A student you must give up your social life, jeopardize your physical and mental health, lock yourself in the library, and become completely miserable.
On average, I study between 30 minutes and two hours a day, five days a week. During busier weeks I’ll study around four hours a day and during finals I go hard, sometimes studying up to 8 hours a day.
I achieved my grades despite the pandemic, and having to move across the world multiple times from Dubai, to Shanghai, to Abu Dhabi, to Guam, to New York, and back to Shanghai.
I had also worked multiple part time jobs before I started working full-time in a successful start up, was a part-time gym bro, and although my social life wasn’t amazing I was able to balance an amazing long-term relationship.
I’m telling you all this not to brag but so you realize there are no limits if you choose not to put any limits on yourself. There is no right way. There is only your way, and balance is not optional, it's crucial.
Since reaching 50,000 academic weapons in the community, I’ve been getting thousands of texts asking for study tips, coaching, and resources.
I created this mini guide to answer your most common questions. It will teach you how to learn, and how to create the perfect study system, which are the first 2 chapters from my “Become an Academic Weapon Book” which I’m hyped to share with you on January 30th.
The full book will will teach you how to:
