👨🏽‍🎓Hey! I’m aadi:

I failed my freshman year. My GPA was a 2.0.

I didn’t know how to learn, I couldn’t figure out why every class was so damn boring(later found out I had adhd), and let’s not forget I was barely going to class.

So how did I transform from being on academic probation with a 2.0 GPA to being an academic weapon with a 4.0 GPA?

1️⃣ I learned how to learn with active study methods instead of passive study methods which I used to build a study system based on methods that worked best for my brain

2️⃣ I created study habits to help me overcome procrastination

3️⃣ I built discipline to help me improve my ability to focus for extended periods

4️⃣ I realized that balance is key. My physical, mental, and spiritual health needed to be priorities

5️⃣ I 8i8became obsessed with figuring out my purpose, my reason for living, my “why”. If utilized properly it can be the greatest fuel when unmotivated

I don’t like studying. I don’t subscribe to this idea that to be an A student you must give up your social life, jeopardize your physical and mental health, lock yourself in the library, and become completely miserable.

On average, I study between 30 minutes and two hours a day, five days a week. During busier weeks I’ll study around four hours a day and during finals I go hard, sometimes studying up to 8 hours a day.

I achieved my grades despite the pandemic, and having to move across the world multiple times from Dubai, to Shanghai, to Abu Dhabi, to Guam, to New York, and back to Shanghai.
